I hope you are well and know that the spring and summer are in our near future.

As I have stated in the past, it is my intention to hand over the reins of the Bay Ridge Marlins to a few families this year. It has been a wonderful experience for me and my family, but it is time for someone else to handle the responsibilities of running the team. The following "jobs" need to be filled:

League Rep/Meet Director - This person represents the team and is a voting member of the Greater Annapolis Swim League (approximately four meetings a year) and runs the home meets. Some swimming knowledge is required.

Volunteer Coordinator - This person recruits volunteers for the positions needed to be filled to keep the team running smoothly through the summer (some jobs are poolside and some are not). Not a lot of swimming knowledge is required.

Computer - While we do have a few volunteers who can already do this job, more are needed so that we have the necessary back-up. More computer knowledge then swimming knowledge needed.

This collective group, along with the Treasurer and together with the Pool Board, are responsible for the hiring and overseeing of the coaching staff.

These positions need to be filled immediately as registration has been scheduled and the league is starting its work on the 2016 season. Please contact me if you are willing to help out with the team this year.

While I have used the word "job" more than a few times, please know that it has never really been work or a job but an opportunity to create a safe and fun environment for the children. It has been an honor and privilege to pave the way for them and to watch them grow up poolside.
